Description
Energize your body and mind with this yoga island adventure book for young children!
Say good day to the magical island of Bali! Join Anamika, one of the Yoga Kids, as she travels with her family to Bali, Indonesia. Surf like a surfer, dance like a Balinese dancer, and sit like a monkey.
The book includes a list of Kids Yoga Poses, Map of Bali, Basic Indonesian Phrases, and a Parent-Teacher Guide with tips on creating a successful yoga experience. This yoga book for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2 to 5) is more than a storybook, but it’s also a unique experience for children.

My Review

By Lynda Dickson
Follow along with Anamika as she travels with her family on a holiday around Bali. They visits the beach, the shops, the waterfalls, the mountains, and the statues. They observe Balinese dancers, villagers, farmers, children, dolphins, and monkeys. They conclude that Bali is a beautiful place.
Throughout the story, Anamika demonstrates fifteen yoga poses, each of which relates to a keyword in the text (e.g., surfers, dancers, monkeys). The poses are summarized at the end of the book. There is also a map of Bali showing the capital city of Denpasar. You can learn to speak some basic Indonesian, including the numbers from 1 to 20, and twelve basic phases such as "How are you?" and "Good morning". Also included is a Parent-Teacher Guide featuring some handy hints on how to use the book.
The bright and colorful illustrations by Emily Gedzyk beautifully complement the simple text, making this book ideal for young children.
This fun and educational book is one to enjoy with the whole family.
