Excerpt
Two hands gently lifted the hood off to reveal a beautiful young woman with almost black eyes. Her hands shook slightly as she let the hood fall back to reveal long, black locks of hair that cascaded down her back. The deed was done. She couldn’t go back on her decision now. It was out of her hands.
Her father would have to accept her now. Even if he went back on his word again, she could provide the family with another dragon. She closed her eyes and imagined the look of surprise on his face.
“Daughter, how did you do this?” he would say.
She would reply, “It was simple really, Ahbah.”
With amazement in his eyes, her father would take her and accept her as part of the clan. No longer would she be an outcast; she would truly be an Agamid.
Praise for the Book
"There wasn’t as much action as I was expecting, but I still enjoyed the book thoroughly. There was only a couple of brief battle scenes where we got to see the dragons in action, though there were other moments of danger, so it was still very exciting. I read through it quickly, not wanting to stop at the end of any chapter, and it kept me engaged until the end. Suitable for upper primary school students and up, Dragon’s Heir is a wonderful fantasy adventure. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I want to know more about Kyn and what direction he will take in his life. I hope the wait’s not too long." ~ Sara Reid on Goodreads
"This book was as likable as the first but without many of the confusing aspects like too similar of names. It even answers some of the questions I had after the first finished. Character growth is more evident, but still a little too easy. These books revolve more around story than character. I think it would be possible to read this one without having read the first but there are points where you might be a bit confused." ~ Sara on Goodreads
"Another fun filled adventure with our beloved dragon riders. This story obviously focuses on Braidyn and his journey in discovering who is he. I enjoyed it as much of the first book but was still a little disappointed with the character development. I was hoping for more depth and feeling from the characters. Still an enjoyable adventure story especially for those dragon rider fans out there." ~ Ashley Martinez on Goodreads
