Description
How far would you go to save a friend?
People are going missing in Kodiak, Alaska.
The evidence: bloody bear prints larger than any bear Jason or Emma have ever seen and black ooze that can eat the flesh from bones.
Bears don't wander into busy shopping districts, turn off security alarms, and break into stores. When Emma’s friend goes missing, Jason and Emma realize the cops aren't up to handling the situation.
Something’s wrong in the paranormal world. Can Jason and Emma fix things before someone else gets hurt?

Excerpt
I wake to the sound of buzzing in my ear. It zips around my head, first landing on my pillow, then on my nose, before flitting over to Emma lying beside me. My eyes still closed, I listen to the pattern of its movements, and then with inhuman speed, I snatch it out of the air.
Opening my eyes, I peek into a small crack I make in my hand. A creature even smaller than a pixie with pale skin and blue hair and eyes the color of a stormy sea glares at me. She’s wearing a tunic made from thick, white material trimmed in purple fur. Delicate butterfly wings protrude from her back, quivering slightly as if a wind stirs them, but trapped inside my hand, there’s no wind.
“Emma.”
She mumbles something and rolls away from me.
“Emma,” I whisper a little louder.
“What?”
“We seem to have a visitor.”
Emma rolls back toward me and peeks at me through a slit in her eyes. “Huh?”
“It’s too small to be a pixie. What’s smaller than a pixie?”
“You let me go at once.” The voice is as tiny as the creature, and a foot kicks at my fingers.
“Stop that. It tickles.”
“Let me go, monster. Or I eat you.”
I laugh. “How do you speak English? The other pixies in the forest only spoke in squeaks.”
“I’m not pixie.” She pulls herself up to her full height of – what, two inches? - and lifts her nose in the air. “I’m smarter.”

From the Authors
Our adventure started with a camping trip and a bottle of whiskey. Apparently Rita is a scary monster, and TJ needed liquid courage to give her that first kiss.
When not fighting over who gets to read our favorite books first, we’re swapping kisses, plot ideas, and movie quotes in the kitchen.
Together, we home-school our three girls, who keep us busy with art, science projects, books to read, dance classes, and walks about the park.
Come play a little hooky with us by getting our first book for free on our website.

Description
Lauren and Mark Burrows lost their parents in a car accident one night. Despite their father being the drunk driver, both struggle with the urge to turn to drink; Lauren most of all. When all they have is each other, Lauren feels lost when Mark falls in love with Cassie Warren and moves out.
Ethan Stone has been alone since his divorce. His ex-wife took him for everything, and he has felt empty for a long time. He's not looking for love, but Lauren brings him back to life. The question is whether she can fight her demons for the man she loves, and if Ethan can handle the wild ride that is life with Lauren.

Excerpt
With Ethan’s arm around her shoulders, Lauren nestled up close, nuzzling his cheek.
“I did want to watch this, Lauren. You’ll distract me.”
“That’s the idea.”
He grinned. “I am trying not to make our relationship just about sex.”
“I know. I’m happy right here, but I’m still trying to distract you.”
Ethan laughed. “You’re so naughty.”
“Always.” She rolled her eyes. “As if I would be anything else.”
He kissed her lips softly. “Is that better?”
“Getting there.”
“If I keep kissing you, I’m not going to want to stop.” He said, in an attempt to look serious.
“That’s what I’m counting on.”
Ethan kissed her on the nose. “That’s all you’re getting until the movie is finished.”
“Spoil sport.”
She rested her head on his shoulder. Moving his hand down from her shoulder to rub her arm, he shared a smile before snuggling up again.
“I know I tease, but I do like this,” she said.
“So do I. You know, it’s been so long since I was this close to anyone. Just to have you here and in my arms is the best feeling.”
“I’m glad, Ethan. I’ve been looking forward to being here with you, even if it is only for a few days.”
“We’ll have to make the most of it. Spend every second we can together.”
He leaned back to look at her. What this beautiful woman saw in him, he didn’t know. Her long blonde hair hung in curls around her shoulders, and she had those gorgeous brown eyes that just sucked you in. The type you just want to look into forever.
She smiled, and his stomach plunged through the floor. There was so much to her that no-one else could ever know about. How anyone had never worked that out was a mystery, but Ethan saw it.
The depth of Lauren’s feeling in return was obvious. Looking at her, really looking at her, her emotions were written all over her face.
“How can no-one have claimed you before,” he said, softly.
She blushed, colour flooding her cheeks. The look on her face made his heart race at the thought she was his.
“Ethan,” she whispered.

Excerpt
Ethan leaned over to kiss her. “I’m looking forward to going to bed too. If I’m invited.”
She laughed, slapping his arm. “Are you kidding? After all that fuss at the door, you had better bring your A game tonight, Mister.”
“I don’t know about that, but I could do with loving you some more. We’ll have to leave pretty early. My schedule is full tomorrow.”
“You still came?”
“Lauren, I told you. You’re worth the effort. If I have to look for work down here, I will.”
“I can’t believe anyone would do that for me.”
“I love you. Even if you don’t feel the same way, I’ll be there when you need me.”
She kissed him. This man was special, and he was hers.
“I do feel the same way. My whole life, no-one ever loved me,” she said.
“I bet that’s a lie. You have such a good heart. Anyone who doesn’t love you isn’t worth knowing.”
“Can we skip dinner and get to the bed part?”
Ethan squeezed her hand. “Not after the effort I put in. Maybe afterwards.”
“Well, you can’t wash the dishes. There’s no hot water left.”
“You didn’t leave any for me?”
Lauren draped her arms over Ethan’s shoulders. “No. You should have joined me.”
“Next time, beautiful.”
She looked away, not wanting to meet his gaze. “What is it, Lauren?”
“No-one’s ever called me that before.”
“Well, get used to it.”
