Excerpt
We reached the elevator bank and hit the button. While we waited, Ethan pressed me up against the wall. His lips forcefully connected with mine. His tongue slid through my mouth in such a way that I sucked in an overdue breath moments later. He trailed kisses along my jaw until he reached my ear. He thrust his body against mine and occasionally rolled his hips as he stared intensely at me. My lower half dampened in an instant as hot sparks darted in every direction of my body, creating a sensual ache that demanded satisfaction.
“I’m willing to bench my frustrations about your living arrangements because I know this is what’s best for your friend. But make no mistake, Mia, I don’t fucking like it one bit. I’m having a hard time dealing with you being home but only getting a fraction of your time,” he growled, biting at my earlobe.
My body was in a state of confusion. Part of me was incredibly turned on with the forcefulness of his approach, while the other was more than annoyed with his need to have complete control over me. He brought his mouth back to mine and nipped along my lower lip.
“Ethan, it’s been two days. I don’t want to fight with you so please try to get control over whatever pent-up anger you have right now. If I had to guess, I’d say you’re acting this pissy with me because it’s been over twelve hours since you got laid,” I joked.
Ethan stepped away from me while shaking his head. His mouth curled into a sexy grin. My stomach and thighs clenched from the waves of desire flowing through me. My breath hitched as he ran his hand lazily up my arm. He trailed his fingers down my back before brushing them along my throat and over to my chin. He slid my bag from my shoulder while pressing a soft kiss to my cheek. The slow burn he created was about to become a wildfire. I needed to be pressed against him to satisfy the ache deep within me. As I leaned in to do just that, the elevator doors opened.
God help me! The things this man does to me. I want to cave to my desires right now!
His eyes were ablaze with lust as people passed by us and down the hallway. The sexual tension between the two of us was thick in the air. It didn’t go unnoticed either. Several people gawked at us as they walked by.
My heartbeat skyrocketed as he continued to stare at me with such want that I was about ready to strip down for him. He knew he was getting to me too. He kept licking his lips as people flowed past us. Ethan goaded me even more by grazing his teeth along his bottom lip. My knees were ready to hit the floor to pleasure him right then and there. The wetness trickling down my thighs amped my libido even higher. It was pleading for me to do something and fast. When everyone was finally out, we stepped inside and he teasingly ran his fingers along my waistline – just to mess with me some more.
Seeing someone still inside the elevator waiting to go down actually sent a wave of relief through me. Every part south of me was begging for satisfaction. I was very close to giving into it. The rational side of me was screaming to stay strong. I had to discuss my dream with Ethan before I gave in. If we fucked each other now, that would be it for the night. We wouldn't talk at all this evening.
Ethan appeared to be in tune with my thoughts because he flashed his naughty smirk before towing me into his large frame. The guy in the elevator poked his head up from his cell long enough to nod at us. Ethan turned me to face him. The sultriness in his eyes intensified the yearning between my thighs. He didn’t help matters when he stroked his hands along my ribcage and towards my breasts. I stilled them with a sharp look for him to stop.
I must remain strong. I must remain strong. I must remain strong …
It didn’t matter how many times I repeated that to myself. Every subtle touch he made had my body flaming hotter by the minute. He continued to torture me by brushing his fingers underneath my shirt and along my sides until we reached the lobby. The hot pool of desire between my legs was close to making me burst at the seams if I didn’t have him soon. It took everything I had not to drag him towards the bathroom in the lobby so I could have my way with him. I wiggled out of his grasp and kept my distance as we strolled outside.
Ethan laughed nonstop on our way to his car. I ignored him and focused on cooling down my overly turned-on body. For the first time today, I cursed the sunny, cloudless sky. I almost wished it were raining again because a cold shower was very necessary at this point.

Excerpt
I heard waves crashing as my nose caught the salty scent of the ocean. I rolled over to red rose petals scattered throughout the bed with a long stemmed one lying in the middle. Securing the sheet around me, I rested on my elbows before picking up the single rose. Ethan was on his side with his deep brown eyes on me. I twirled the rose and gave him a soft smile. He was without a shirt and propped on an elbow. His messy hair was wet with droplets of water dripping along his neck into the contours of his shoulders before sliding down his carved chest. The sunlight pouring in from the window made his body gleam. He always aroused me instantly, but staring at him now made him seem even more God-like and I wanted every part of him.
“Did you take a shower without me? That has to be a first,” I speculated.
Ethan reached over to tuck my hair behind my ears. His hand trailed down my side to rest on mine. “I got up at sunrise to catch some waves,” he clarified.
“I didn’t know you surfed. I’m not surprised, since you like wakeboarding so much.”
He brought our bodies so close that our chests were nearly touching. My heart sped up as he leaned over me with his hand clamped on my hip. “I surf, but you’re wrong about boarding. I don’t like it – I love it. Surfers get really pissy if boarders ruin their ride so I don’t wakeboard when I’m on the ocean. I settle for catching waves on a different board, but I don’t love it nearly as much.”
I caught the passion in his eyes. Ethan loved doing anything on the water. My mouth twisted into an adoring grin as I stared at my magnificent boyfriend. “You taught me how to board. I suppose you can teach me how to surf too?” I offered.
Ethan chuckled. “I’d love to. I’m not sure if we’ll have time on this trip. I’ll line up another one soon. We should go to Hawaii or Australia. If you’re going to learn, you might as well learn in one of the best surfing spots on the planet.”
His hand veered from my hip down to my ass where he gently pinched me. Ethan licked his luscious lips with a hungry look in his eyes. I knew that look. My breaths started becoming shorter as I responded to his fingers traveling further down. Ethan hovered over me and pulled at my elbows so I dropped to my back. He took the rose out of my hand and set it on the nightstand before sliding down the sheet. His lips fell to my collarbone and water dripped from his hair into my cleavage. The coolness of it sizzled with the fire in me.

Another great book! Mia and Ethan's story is superbly entertaining and very enjoyable. Both Conflicted and Complicated kept me guessing and my interest piqued. I'm eager to read the next book in the series. Highly recommend both books.

Excerpt
“What the hell are you doing here? Are you stalking me now?” I snapped.
I attempted to remove his hand, but the effort behind it was marginal. Everything within me relished his hands all over me. My knees became weak with the heavy want coursing between my legs. My upper body constricted with my wayward needs. Ethan tightened his grip as he whirled me around so that my back was on his front. The music shifted to a slow, deliberate song that was fitting for my predicament. I cursed Usher underneath my breath for coming out with this song. Ethan had buried me into his body. It was impossible not to notice his hardness. He ran his hands down the front of my thighs until he hit bare skin.
“It's hard to stalk someone when they're in the club that you own,” he shot back.
“You own this place?” I stammered.
“I have a vested interest, so I come in on occasion. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered you were here,” he remarked.
My concentration was dwindling with every stroke he made upon my body. Ethan continued running his hands up and down my thighs, causing my heart to beat out of my chest. I bit my lip to keep from moaning from the pleasure when his fingers lingered towards the inside. My hands took on a mind of their own as they slid down his waist and thighs. His breaths trickled across my neck. It heightened the erotic dance south of me. I was in the danger zone with him. I fought to find my rational side to avoid undressing for him right then and there. My mind grasped at the few functioning brain cells to keep him talking. It was my last line of defense to keep him from kissing me.
“Why are you so upset?”
“I'm angry because you keep denying me when it's clear you want me. To top it off, you come to my club and dance with countless men right in front of me,” Ethan growled.
He ran his nose down my neck before licking away a bead of sweat. I gasped. The hand that he had moved to my waist slipped underneath my top. He caressed my belly before running his fingers further down, making every ounce of me come to a dull ache. Against my will, my body moved in ways to encourage him to travel further south to take full advantage of me. Ethan's hands settled along my waistline, lazily trailing his fingers along it. My mind screamed one last time that this was not an option for me. In a last-ditch attempt, I paused his hands so he wouldn't go any further. Ethan whipped me around to face him. The passion in his eyes was unmistakable.
“I'm trying to do the right thing,” I moaned.
His hands drifted underneath my shirt and up my sides on their way north this time. As he progressed along my rib cage to the lower line of my bra, he moved us off the dance floor. Ethan pushed me up against a pillar at the far end of it. He brought his body right into mine. He tossed in an occasional thrust of the hips as he pinned me, just to remind me how very well he knew my body. Ethan cupped my breast with tender strokes of his hand before pressing his lips on a spot underneath my ear lobe. It was enough to melt every part of me. I was throbbing all over for him.
“You want me. I want you. I don't care what's right or wrong,” Ethan hissed.
I tilted my neck as he trailed deep kisses down my collarbone and exposed shoulder. I wanted him so much that it was close to making me burst. I moaned even louder when his teeth grazed the crook of my shoulder. He sucked along my neck with eagerness, making no effort to hold back his want for me. I slanted my head to bring my lips vigorously down on his. My tongue drifted across the top of his mouth before his tongue met mine where they danced to the beat with the music around us. My hands moved down to his hips as he pumped against me. I slid them even further down to his ass. Ethan responded by grinding harder and grabbing one of my legs to raise it around his hip.
Our bodies melded together in an erotic dance as our mouths devoured each other. I lost myself in the music, in his lips, in his body, in his hands, and in the desires he brought out in me. His hands ran up and down my body while his lips and hips brought me to the point of no return.

Review
I was so excited to read this book and once I got my hands on it I couldn't put it down. It is exciting, engaging, sexy, fun, deceptive, and all around a great read. MM Koenig does a great job describing each character, from their physical attributes to their personal lives, you actually feel somewhat connected to them as you continue reading. The ending is fabulous and will make waiting for the second book torture :)
