"This is a really cute picture book and I did enjoy reading it. The message of the author is very clear and one that is easy for children to understand. I enjoyed the illustrations and the message of the book. I think this a great book for the parents, because even as adults, it's easy to forget the true meaning of the holiday season." ~ Rhiannon Ragland

My Review

By Lynda Dickson
Christmas is a time for Billy and family members from near and far to celebrate Christmas together. Three things Billy loves about Christmas are the food, the special present his Uncle Leland always brings him from England, and the after-dinner games. This year, Billy is disappointed with the Uncle Leland's gift. Later, during a game of hide-and-seek, Billy finds himself transported to a strange land where two friendly monsters invite him over for Christmas dinner. There, he learns what makes Christmas truly special. As Popo Monster says, "Having each other is the best gift for Christmas or any other day."
This is a cute story with colorful and fun illustrations by Renato Capasso. This is the perfect book to help teach your children that Christmas is not about getting the latest and greatest toys, but about being grateful for what you have and spending time with your family.

The Buzz
"One of the aspects that makes the little children's books by David Chuka so endearing is that he enters territory and vocabulary that in other circumstances would be either verboten or at least judged inappropriate. But instead of writing a story of questionable taste, Chuka creates some hilarious situations and then makes a point of allowing learning from them ... Chuka's drawings match the joy of his story and once again he has written a brave little book that will greatly appeal to kids - and to their parents! Very high quality work from David Chuka." ~ 5 Star Review, Grady Harp, Top 100 Reviewer, Amazon
"Yes dear readers kids now have a new friend called the Fart Monster. A buddy that lets them off the hook big time. In this imaginative story by David Chuka your child's imagination will leap to new bounds in giving kids cover for what comes so naturally. The great thing about this is you don't have to hold your nose to enjoy a fun story that is sure to have you and child laughing out loud." ~ 5 Star Review, StevieV, Amazon
"I laughed all the way through this story. I know that boys think farting is funny and I'm sure my grands will love this picture book. Of course us adults have to use some animation, so we can join in the fun. The pictures rock with this simple story, and there are some problem solving discussed and shared with another character. However, the overall problem is, 'Billy is getting blamed for something you didn't do'. In the end the problem is solved and the relationship is forever. Job well done. I'm still laughing. " ~ 5 Star Review, Amazon Customer, Amazon
"This is a not too serious book for kids who love to LAUGH OUT LOUD. I bought it for my nephew and he laughed and laughed and I had to ask him twice to get my IPAD back. But anyway, The book is funny with lots of illustrations that kids love. The illustrations are really good and captivating for a young audience. Not only that the book also gives a moral story at the end of the book. It teaches kids discipline and manners, which is something very valuable in today's society. Overall good book." ~ 5 Star Review, Jomy K., Amazon
"THIS BOOK IS HILARIOUS! My 8 year old son stated. He highly recommends it, and also poses the age old question: 'Why does Monster keep farting?'" ~ 5 Star Review, Bkustom, Amazon

The Buzz
"Experience is the best teacher as Billy and his "purple shadow" learn a sweet lesson in Billy and the Monster Who Ate All the Easter Eggs. Beautifully illustrated, nicely formatted, this quick, easy story will be read over and over again." ~ 5 Star Review, Julia B., Amazon
"My daughter has really been enjoying David Chuka's Billy and Monster books. This is another fun addition to the "family." As always, the story has a lovely moral (this time teaching the value of moderation - definitely the biggest word in the book)! It's based on the very realistic theme of overindulging in chocolate/sweets, which virtually anyone can relate to and which kids find a lot of fun. And, awesome pictures as always. Definitely recommend it." ~ 5 Star Review, Renee B., Amazon
"I really like the little monster in this book and how they get into trouble together. What child hasn't snuck into the cache of candies that their parents have hidden? Cute story with a lesson for the little ones in your family!" ~ 5 Star Review, Patricia T., Amazon
"This is a cute story about a little boy Billy and his funny friend Monster. They love chocolate so much that they forget about obeying to older. At night, they sneaked to the chocolate egg pyramid, started eating the chocolate eggs and made a big mess. On the morning, they not only got in a big trouble, but they also got a bad stomach pain. They both had to learn a lessons about MODERATION. Nice illustrations, book well written." ~ 5 Star Review, OPV, Amazon
"Billy and his monster friend enjoy lots of fun in this book, filled with great pictures and a cute story. It shares a lot about celebrating holidays, and intertwines humor and family love throughout the story. Hidden in the story is a nice message about eating in moderation, a well needed lesson in our culture of over-eating. Billy ends up being proud of himself and makes good decisions by the end of the book, while all the while sharing some adventures with his cute monster friend. Great read to share with your children or grandchildren year round, not just for the Easter holiday." ~ 5 Star Review, Katie W., Amazon

Review
Billy and his friend Monster go to the house of Grandma Chocalicious for their favorite holiday, Easter. She warns them not to touch the chocolate Easter eggs until Easter Sunday. But 12:30am means it's now Easter, doesn't it? What will Billy and Monster get up to?
Billy and Monster learn about the importance of moderation. They also learn that there are both emotional and physical consequences to over-indulging. The fart monster strikes again! I think this is a series that young children, especially boys, will enjoy. And they will learn a valuable lesson at the same time. This book makes a great Easter gift for the children in your life. I suggest you share it with them before they eat all their Easter chocolate!
