Description
Cards
Before your friend blows out the candles on the cake - no matter how many that may be - send some sweet wishes of your own with birthday cards in every flavor.
You wouldn’t get everyone in your life the same birthday present, so don’t settle for anything less than the perfect happy birthday card for your honoree. Start with a card featuring cake, macarons, or balloons in vivid colors and patterns that you’d never find at the party supply store. Those celebrating the fruits of adulthood can nip into more mature comestibles: whether that means bubbling champagne or darker liquors is up to you. You’ll even find a few free online birthday card options that let you save up for an extra round of IRL cocktails. Cards stamped in silver, rose gold, and gold foil make every birthday a milestone (we won’t guess which one). The wit can shine too, with funny birthday cards sure to bring a sparkle to your friend’s eye - perhaps a necessity as they look a big milestone birthday square in the face. Designs from Derek Blasberg and other humorists leave your sentiments wry and dry. For something truly unique to the two of you, our photo birthday cards let you use a snapshot as the backdrop to your fond wishes - a lovely memento of the previous year, and the many more to come. If you’re a label-conscious gift-giver, pick out a card from design luminaries and master stationers like kate spade new york and Mr. Boddington’s Studio. We’ll make it easier to deliver, too: with just a click or two through your online address book (which you can stock with contacts imported from your own e-mail accounts), you’re in easy reach of your friend’s best address.
Once you’ve chosen just the right card for your superannuated friend, use our online design tool to customize the wording and wrap up any lingering details with a figurative bow. If you’re including a favorite photo, you’ll be able to crop, color-filter, and apply any other last minute tweaks to the snapshot to make sure your birthday wish is picture-perfect. You can apply the same care to the accompanying text, too, with plenty of font and text color options as well as total control of the layout of your greeting.
If you can’t imagine giving a gift without an accompanying physical card - or if your recipient is a lover of printed tokens of affection - choose a design that’s available flat-printed or foil-stamped on card stock. Send along your best wishes for the years ahead with a single keepsake greeting custom-printed with your message. Should those wishes run a little longer than the space provided, a folded card leaves you extra room to handwrite a note, and makes for a truly stand-up addition to your pal’s dresser, vanity, or refrigerator door.
While we endeavor to make sending your birthday greetings a quick victory on your to-do list, we certainly understand the occasional oversight. Send a belated birthday card online if you’re behind the deadline - it’s the thought that counts, after all.
Invitations
Browse thousands of online invitations that are perfect for all of life’s most memorable moments and every occasions alike. From movie nights to wedding days, no party is too big or small for a beautiful, custom invitation from Paperless Post.
Celebrating a birthday? Find the design that’s just right for your event, whether it’s a first or a fiftieth birthday. A well-chosen and well-designed invitation gets guests in the mood for whatever type of party you’re having and ready to celebrate another year circling the sun. Let your imagination run wild and throw a theme birthday party in a style all your choosing or pick out a time-tested favorite like a 70s night or western-wear affair. If you’re looking to fete a friend but don’t want to spoil the fun, use a surprise party invitation to plan the big reveal.
Getting married? Online invitations are great for engagement parties, wedding showers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, and even the big day itself. We have exclusive wedding collections from top fashion houses like Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, kate spade new york, and Kelly Wearstler. Sought-after wedding stationers like Rifle Paper Co. and Mr. Boddington’s Studio have lent their unique design sensibilities to unique wedding suites for your ceremony. Traditionalists will be pleased to find fine paper wedding stationery - including thermographed, engraved, and letterpress printed designs - while still making use of modern online RSVP tracking tools and guest messaging. (The whole process will be so enjoyable that it’ll be hard to wait a whole year before you start planning your anniversary party. Just make sure to use invitations stamped in silver, rose gold, and gold foil.)
Expecting? Get ready for the little one’s arrival with online baby shower invitations, gender reveal invitations, sip and see invitations, and bris or christening invitations. And don’t forget baby’s biggest milestone: the first birthday party (and first piece of cake). When their first birthday gives way to their third or even fifth, invite some of their best fictional friends to the party with designs from the Disney storybook archives. If the guest of honor is still on the way over, choose nursery classics in timeless pink and blue or designs that feature pint-sized denizens of the wild kingdom.
Maybe your party has a higher purpose. For corporate functions, charity fundraisers, and political gatherings, our invitations for organizations make planning simple and let you keep your event’s message front and center. You can upload a fully produced design of your own or have our Personal Design Services team help you integrate your corporate logo and branding into your invitation.
Of course, sometimes you’re celebrating just because. Regardless of the occasion (or lack thereof), we have invitations to match any mood or season. There’s never a bad time to throw a dinner party, cocktail party, or casual get-together. Even a night of marathon viewing and board games could do with a smartly designed invitation.

My Review
By Lynda Dickson
Not only am I a book lover, but I'm also a stationery lover. Do you want to use the most modern, beautiful stationery without leaving your computer? Have you ever realized that you haven't sent your mother a Mother's Day card and Mother's Day is tomorrow? Did you forget to buy your daughter a birthday card and today is her birthday? If you're like me, you've done all of these. Now, thanks to Paperless Post, there are hundreds of card and invitation designs at your fingertips whenever you need them. Best of all, cards and invitations have the option of being delivered in beautiful virtual envelopes that open before your very eyes!
There are 2944 card designs to choose from in the following categories: Greeting, Holiday, Announcement, Thank you, and Stationery.

There are 3740 invitation designs to chose from in the following categories: Birthday, Entertaining, Celebrations, Baby and kids, Get-together, Holiday, Save the dates, Organizations, Upload your own, and Featured designers.

When you sign up with Paperless Post, you are credited with 20 coins. You can earn more coins or buy more coins as you need them. Cards and invitations cost between 0 and 3 coins per recipient, with an extra 1 coin each for optional custom backdrop, envelope, envelope liner, and stamp. Text can be formatted with a choice of typeface, color, alignment, font size, letter spacing, and line height. You can even select a response card for 1-2 coins.
Before purchasing, you can send yourself a free preview so you know exactly how the recipient will see it. You can even schedule the delivery of your card or invitation for a specific time and date. This is especially handy for birthday cards. Why not spend an afternoon each month preparing that month's birthday cards in advance?
Paperless Post also keeps track of all the responses to your cards and invitations. This is a very handy feature, especially for a large special events, such as a 21st birthday or wedding. You can even follow up with those who have replied and those who haven't.
And, of course, if you still prefer sending paper cards and invitations, Paperless Post offers a printed collection exclusively at Paper Source.
You can access Paperless Post on your computer or get the Paperless Post app for your iPhone or iPad from the iTunes store.
