Description
There is something magical when best friends fall in love. Liv and Sebastian used to be inseparable until circumstances beyond their control destroyed their fairytale romance to dust.
Liv hasn’t seen Sebastian since he walked out of her life five years ago. When she accepted her internship in London, she never dreamed their paths would cross again. Not when Sebastian is a celebrity, a singer in one of the most popular boy bands of all times. Living in the same city, their worlds couldn’t be farther apart. But when two people are destined to be together, they can’t outrun fate.

Excerpt
"What are you staring at?" She drops her gaze.
"You."
"Why? Do I have food on my face?"
I put my index finger under her chin and bring her gaze back up again. "I'm staring at you because I like what I see. That's all."
She leans forward and stops a breath away from my lips. "I like what I see, too." She breaches the gap between us and kisses me.
I cup the back of her head, and she lets go of the sheet covering her torso. Her warmth radiates through me and stirs something down below again. My hand skims the underside of her breast as our kiss becomes something more, something vital.
"Bas, my parents are probably home by now. I gotta go," she says against my lips.
"Humm?" I pretend I didn't hear her, moving my lips from her mouth to her chin, down her neck. Her breathing becomes shallow, but she pulls away, and her hands rest on my chest, keeping me from following her.
"Bas, I'm serious."
"Okay, okay." I rub my face, trying to dispel the lust fog clouding my brain. I shouldn't even attempt a second round with her now. She says she's not sore, but I'm pretty sure she will be in a couple of hours. I should let her recover.
Liv gets out of bed and searches for her clothes scattered on the floor. I lean back on my elbows and watch unapologetically.
"Stop staring, Bas." I see the corners of her lips twitch up.
"I can't help myself when you're parading that hot bod of yours in front of me."
She hits me with her t-shirt before putting it back on.
"So, what do you want for your birthday?" I ask.
"Bas, you don't need to give me anything."
I roll my eyes. "You're going to make it difficult, aren't you?"
"Of course." She smirks.
Fully dressed now, she comes to me and places her hands behind my neck. My arms encircle her waist, and I pull her closer.
"Thank you," I say.
Her eyebrows furrow, marring her lovely face. "For what?"
"For letting me be your first. Your first everything."
Her face relaxes, and she traces my hairline, all the way down to my jaw. "I wouldn't have wanted anyone else but you. Thank you for making my first everythings the most treasured experiences of my life."
"There are more firsts in your future, Liv. And I want to be there for all of them."

Praise for the Book
"... the plot is a classic but it works extremely well as MH Soars pays attention to little details to make her story solid and captivating. So captivating I could not put it down. If you like high school sweethearts stories with a side of fame, go for it and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!" ~ sophie
"Wonderwall by M.H. Soars is a tale of young love, loss, and the failure to face life head on until there is a one-in-a-million chance for a do-over and the future they had always dreamed about. Combining the chaotic life of being in the public scrutiny, playing the games the publicists want and the reality of private lives on a 'normal' plane, Ms. Soars has written a gut-wrenching tale of continuing mistakes, failure to mature and facing the truth head on. Liv is a good character to get to know, she has her weak, more human moments, but as a friend and ally, she goes out of her way to help others. Bas has begun to believe the life he lives is reality until finding Liv, again. [...] Let Ms. Soars pull you in and make you part of her tale, shake your head, sigh, chuckle and get that lump in your throat that says, this is good reading!" ~ Dii
"This is an exceptionally well written contemporary new adult romance novel, emotionally charged and with a storyline that grips from the start and doesn't let go. I went through Liv's heartbreak with her and also sympathised with Sebastian's problems, even if they did keep him from the girl who tried so hard to reach him for so long. The plot is well paced, with a few twists and turns I didn't expect. The chemistry between the main characters is scorching. The setting is also well drawn and the other characters are interesting and unique, all of this creating a fully believable backdrop for the amazing story Soars has crafted. The bottom line is if you love romance, you have to read this book! Highly recommended." ~ chettsgenie
"All I can say is wow, this was a well written story, which flowed nicely, I did not get bogged down once. I found the characters to be awesome, I wanted to really dislike Sebastian but could not and I wanted to shake Liv. I would recommend this to anyone over 18, who wanted a really good solid read. Loved it!!" ~ Angela Johnson
"This book was astonishing. It is the story of a couple who started out as best friends who become each other's first loves. I read this book based on the blurb alone. I would highly recommend that you don't read too many reviews (spoilers rather) because I loved the surprises and having no idea what comes next. The book made me laugh and cry. I started it one evening around 7pm and stayed up until I finished it because I couldn't put it down. The writing is very good and the plot moves along very steadily. Everyone likes to read the books that make them feel and this is definitely one of them." ~ Jen Zingaro

The Spark of a Novel
I think 99% of authors will say that the question they are asked the most is how they get their inspiration for their books. The answer to that question will vary. Dreams, songs, a driver who cuts you off, your desire to eat a doughnut even though you shouldn’t. In essence LIFE is the main source of anyone who creates.
Wonderwall was book that came out of the blue. I wasn’t planning on writing it in the immediate future. My first novel in the New Adult genre was actually going to be We Used to Be Friends, the now second book in the series. But I’m so happy that Wonderwall got to be the first because is my favorite book to date.
So what sparked the idea for Wonderwall? Was it the song by Oasis? No exactly. It was a song by a band I really never followed or paid attention to, even though the world had gone off-kilter over it. If you guessed One Direction, you are correct. So there I was, going to work, when "Story of My Life" started to play. (FYI, I get a lot of my ideas on the way to work, I actually see scenes play out in front of me when I should be paying attention to traffic instead). Anyway, back to what I was saying, the song came on and I wondered what would it be like to date a guy in a very popular boy band? And that was the A-HA moment for Wonderwall.
But it wasn’t the very beginning. The A-HA moment was not the Genesis of the story (I’m making s**t up as I go here. Who am I with all these fancy terms?). I can’t pinpoint the time when the little seed came into my mind. "A girl going to live in London on a year long internship at a swanky hotel. She finds love there. It will be complicated."
I had this idea in the back of my head and then the One Direction song came in, mixed with the seed (maybe the song was the water?) and bang! A-HA moment.
What came next was a series of WHAT IFs questions that helped place Liv and Sebastian’s story in the world of the Love Me, I’m Famous series I’d been brewing for months. Like I stated earlier, I planned to launch the series with We Used to be Friends (Kennedy and Skylar’s story). Wonderwall was never meant to be part of this series. It was going to be a standalone. But now I cannot envision Love Me, I’m Famous without Liv and Sebastian in it, which proves that sometimes it’s freaking awesome to go off the rails.
