The previous books in Melissa Perry Moraja's Wunderkind Family series are aimed at Middle Grade kids. This is the first book specifically for younger children. The series is based on the author's family, and this one features her youngest daughter Isabella and the family dog Baxter.
Mom is busy working from home and asks six-year-old Isabella to babysit Baxter. Excited to be babysitting for the first time, Isabella takes her job very seriously, but trouble seems to follow them everywhere. The story is full of humor, adventure, excitement, and even suspense. Will Isabella get in trouble when Mom finally catches up with her? The illustrations, also by the author, are simple, colorful, and absolutely adorable.
Your kids will love to follow the adventures of Isabella and Baxter. I can't wait to see what they get up to next! A pleasure to read.
