Description
It’s too bad for Scarlet that no matter how sweet a person is, fate can still screw you over.
Now she’s jaded, half of her torn away and the remainder flesh and bones. In her grief, all Scarlet wants to do is to rebel against the life that betrayed her and her roommate provides the perfect lure…
Scarlet awakens when she enters the New York City underground, where vice and fortunes thrive. Hustling, trickery and savagery allow her to discover her true self -her forgotten soul re-emerging. She just can’t promise it’ll come back pure.
It won’t matter that there is a shadow in her periphery. Theo Saxon thinks he can save Scarlet from a world she craves and protect her from the very elements he’s spawned from. But it’s through his unwitting instruction that Scarlet will become a part of his league and find the danger he wants so badly to keep to himself.
Scarlet thinks the stakes are within her control. But she won’t just be betting her heart on Theo and his seductive sins. She will wager her life.

Excerpt
I went into my room and shut off the lamp, bathing myself in the black, though the eternal glimmer outside prevented me from disappearing.
I used to be afraid of the dark, of creatures disguised as shadows, ready to leap at me from corners or drag me under the bed. It was an ingrained fear, something I couldn’t shake even when I was old enough to live on my own.
Until.
These days, I understood small fears for what they were: fanciful, ridiculous and ignorant. I knew what real terror was now, and it wasn’t of strangers, or monsters, or home invasions and random attacks. No, the real danger lay in waking up each day thinking you’d survive it, and in taking for granted that everyone else you loved would be okay, too.
Life had a way of just ending, in a regular moment, on a clear night, where the last thing to be afraid of would be a human mistake.

Praise for the Book
"This story really pulls you in and is really deep. It moves fast enough to keep the reader's attention but slow enough to not feel rushed. The characters are allowed to develop and come to life. I'm ready for the next book." ~ Samantha on Goodreads
"Overall this is a great story and I really enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend to others! Great job to the author and I look forward to the next book." ~ Mary Forster on Goodreads
"... a great story in series that I'd love to have the opportunity to read more of in the future." ~ Tanya Welden on Goodreads
"Paper Dolls had so many feels that it felt like I was living everything Scarlett and Theo were. The suspense and the sadness I felt for Theo was just unbelievable. And the ending!! Wow that was a spectacular ending and sort of unexpected but it's left me needing more!!! Can't wait for the second book!!!!" ~ E on Goodreads

About the Author
Ketley Allison began her career by writing books as birthday presents for her friends (with her friend as the main character and opposite a super sexy lead, of course) before ending it in order to walk down a path she thought she was supposed to follow.
The writing bug never left her - and, in fact, would often bleed into the official papers she was supposed to write - so now Ketley's putting down her suit and finally following her dream. While her friends are no longer the stars of her books, she still throws in bits and pieces of them into each and every one of her characters.
As a result, her books tend to focus a lot on friendships as well as love, because let's be honest, friends are what really get you through - especially when your epic love turns into epic heartbreak.

Description
"We have someone who saw you struggling with the deceased before using that knife. Your best friend, and our eye witness."
In nine weeks Charlie Miller’s life goes from high-rolling perfection to a crypt of sin. All it takes is one night, one blade, and her boyfriend, best friend and new friends all either end up as suspects or dead.
Nate Westcott, a pierced, tattooed, charismatic lawyer, is a man she can’t have - but a seductive danger she can’t ignore. He’s cocky, infuriating, brilliant and wrong, yet he makes her question whether she really is the good girl she wants to be or more like the selfish killer everyone thinks she is.
And her body wants him in ways she’s not supposed to crave.
As the weeks close in, cracks start forming in her everyday world of pro football golden boys, law school domination and New York City nightlife. Everyone she cares about is at risk because one of them doesn’t love Charlie back. In fact, they want her out of the way. Disposed of. Set up.
One more step, and all Charlie has to do is fall through.
Week 1 starts now.
Who will snap?
Snapped is Ketley’s New Adult Contemporary series with all the romance you’d expect, but the killer - and lovers - that you don’t.

Excerpt
He smiled slowly. “You have a really nice laugh, you know that? You make this cute little sound with your nose at the beginning.”
“Oh God.” This gorgeous specimen was in a private bathroom with me, half-naked, talking about my snort.
With him standing so near, the dark indigo rim of his blue eyes was startlingly apparent, as well as the whites of his teeth, and even the glistening tip of his tongue. Then my mind went to all sorts of things that tongue could do, and I flushed a brighter red.
He pushed a damp tendril of hair off my forehead, his fingers activating nerves I never knew existed. Tentatively, I smiled back.
When Lara’s voice cut through the air, followed by her pounding surprisingly strong fists against the door, I was reminded where I was, my stomach adding to my reality by gurgling its queasiness.
“You better not be pawing at her!” she shrieked. “Open the damn door!”
I backed away from the sink and leaned against the wall as I groaned. “And it begins...”
Slade turned and unlocked the door, stepping out of the way before Lara fell in, her hair tangling in her face.
Flicking the strands out of the way, she gasped at the sight of his naked torso. “Get your shirt on, asshole!”
I balked. “Lara!”
Slade just looked at her, bemused.
“He wasn’t doing anything,” I said. “He was just helping me.”
“You’re okay?” Slade asked me.
All I could do was nod. He took all the words from my mouth.
“Good. I’ll, uh...I’ll see you around, okay?” He slipped past Lara with his hands up in surrender before he walked out the door and shut it quietly behind him. I heard the whistles start up again.
“Sports wonks,” Lara grumbled as she adjusted herself.
“He...”
Lara raised her eyes to me. “What’s that, mumbles?”
“He didn’t get my name,” was all I could say before my knees went out from underneath me.

Featured Review
I was immediately intrigued by the description. And the cover. Sarah at Okay Creations always catches my eye!
I am not the biggest fan of novella series because I HATE waiting. It kills me, then I usually lose interest. But the description was enough to get me interested. I had to know WHO WILL SNAP. This series is in no danger of losing my interest. I promise that!
As soon as I began, I was hooked. The prologue is in the future. Most likley the end of the series where Charlotte, our main heroine, is being questioned at the scene of crime. It's vague enough you really have no idea what just happened.
I honestly have to say, Ketley Allison could not have crafted a better prologue. It leaves you with so many unanswered questions. I was glued to my iPad, needing to find out more.
[...]
My favorite part of this story is that it keeps you guessing. EVERYONE is a suspect. I was constantly analyzing every person we met. "Are you the killer? Are you cheating? Will you betray Charlie?"
Every time I thought I had it figured out, the slightest little detail would make me think otherwise. Then it would happen again. And Again. I can't remember being this excited about a story in a long time! I have about 6 different scenarios rolling around in my head.
At first, I thought the story was obvious but now I have no idea. I like to think that I am pretty good at guessing the plot twist or secrets to be revealed (because I read so much). I have no idea. I really don't but I will honestly be surprised when we finally reach the end of this series.
