Excerpt
I hadn’t been held quite like this ever before, so tenderly yet with an unmistakable undercurrent of lust.  I’d had embraces in the past, in another lifetime, that meant all kinds of things.  Celebrations, commiserations, I-was-just-jokings, they’d provided so much I didn’t even realize until they were gone.
One minute they were there and then all of a sudden there were no more shoulders to cry on.  The shoulder that I should have been able to turn to was busy with other things, things that weren’t me, and that had maybe done the most damage of all.  That had hurt a lot.
“Are you going to hurt me too?” I whispered without even consciously willing it, so quietly that I didn’t think Jeremy would hear, but he did.
Jeremy stopped moving and I could feel him looking down at me.
“No.  Bea, look at me,” he said.
Jeremy let go with one hand and I felt his finger lightly pushing my chin until I opened my eyes and gazed up at him.  Jeremy’s brow furrowed and he shook his head gently.
“No,” he repeated.
I lost myself in his eyes for a second and then raised myself up on the tips of my toes to get closer to him.  Jeremy lowered his head and our lips met for the second time in as many days, a much slower kiss that soon had me as oblivious to the outside world as I had been while dancing just a few moments ago.
The song faded away and our lips parted as I heard the sound of a couple people clapping.  Our waitress was standing next to the young man who had been moving tables earlier and an older man, the owner perhaps.  They were all clapping politely, but only our waitress had a truly dreamy look in her eye.
When we had been interrupted the previous day I had been anxious to get some distance between the two of us as quickly as possible.  I didn’t feel that now, I didn’t want to be apart from him even a single inch.

Praise for the Book
"There's a big jump in time between the first three chapters and the rest of the book, but I enjoyed how these little snapshots into the earlier lives of Harper and Dean tied into the storyline. The last chapter from Beatrice's point of view was fascinating too. I loved the way 'villainous' characters from the individual books were portrayed in a completely different light in different timeframes. This added depth to the characters and, as a result, to the overall story itself. A beautiful romance, several actually, with self-sacrifice, touching and tender moments, heartbreak and ultimate triumph. HEA and no cheating (although I was worried a couple of times!)" ~ RebeccaReads
"I really appreciate how there's no insta-love in these books. Insta-attraction, maybe, in the case of Nick and Harper, but definitely not insta-love. All three couples have major obstacles to overcome to get to their HEA, and the way they are all thrust together and forced to fight through these challenges helps build their relationships in believable ways. Insane things happen, but Emma South drew me in and made me a believer. I got completely swept up in these love stories and will definitely read this collection again!" ~ LenaJane
"This book will smash you into a million pieces at least four times with the tragedies faced by the cast of characters, but each time Emma South manages to piece you back together again with pure love that leaps off the page. You can't avoid being changed by going through that process. Emma's storytelling really got to me." ~ Amazonian
"Time and time again, I was drawn into the individual plights of Bea, Jeremy, Harper, Nick, Christie and Dean. There were times when I wanted to punch some of them, times when I laughed, times when I cried and LOTS of swoon-worthy moments. This is a long romance for people who never want the story to end." ~ Speed Reader
"Wow! I've read some of Emma's books before, but I never quite realised just how each of them flows into or weaves around the others. The five books that Emma has combined here work really well as one story. I'd definitely recommend." ~ J. Lemay

About the Author
Now a USA Today Best Selling Author!
I’m in my thirties and living in New Zealand. About three years ago I lost somebody very close to me. I was lucky in a way, I was given enough time to make a promise. My promise was that I would never forget our young and innocent love, and it’s a promise I intend to keep.
My writing is a way to help me keep that promise. I’ve always enjoyed writing but was forced into being "prudent" and giving myself over to soul-crushing office work for the sake of a steady salary. Recent events forced me to re-evaluate my priorities and I decided to take a chance. I like to put little pieces of "us" into my writing, from funny conversations we had, to apocalyptic arguments, to that special feeling you get when you hop into bed fully aware that your feet are freezing but your partner doesn’t kick you away.
Even though these things are set in fictional worlds and attached to fictional characters, in a way it feels like I’m doing something that will make our love live forever. If somebody reads one of my stories and likes a joke or sheds a tear, then our love has lived on, and I thank any readers I might have for that.

Description
Harper Bayliss is about to pay the full price of fame. That is, if her stalker’s plans work out.
Hollywood’s new favourite starlet is already feeling overwhelmed by the insecurity of her past, a family that controls her every move, and the stresses that come with her job when a brutal attack from a madman takes that stress to a whole new level. But what neither Harper nor her attacker saw coming was the 6’4”, heavily muscled ex-Marine, Nick Martell, throwing himself in harm’s way to save her. After she visits him in the hospital to offer her thanks, she can’t help but be intrigued by the man she finds beneath the bad boy exterior.
Plagued by guilt over his failure to protect the one person that mattered the most, all Nick wants is to find some peace. The tattooed former Marine is scarred, inside and out, but saving Harper Bayliss might be his first step toward redemption. What’s more, her answer to his heartfelt question is about to send them both down a path of scorching passion … and maybe even love.
With the pressures of Harper’s fame and Nick’s guilt working against them, will their feelings be enough to overcome all the obstacles, including the stalker that’s still out there? If he gets his way he’ll show them that, even if they choose each other, you seldom get to choose the last thing you see.
The Last Thing You See from USA Today bestselling author Emma South is a New Adult Romance about letting go of the past to find unconditional love in the present.

Excerpt
"My face maintained perfect innocence when I saw him glance down my body, the lapels of my jacket were open enough to show a bit of skin after all. Nick looked back up and smiled, and that broke my concentration enough that I smiled back.
“Your belt is tied up wrong,” he said.
“It is?”
“Yeah, a knot like that sticks out too much, and when you’re down on the ground it can dig in and be uncomfortable. The ends are too long and loose, not to mention it’ll probably come undone a lot. Of course belts are always coming undone when you roll.”
“Roll?”
“When you spar.”
“Oh.”
“Here, this is how it’s done.”
Nick tugged at my white belt and undid the simple knot I had tied and then moved behind me with the belt in his hands. Was he putting the moves on me? I turned my head to the left and kept him just in the corner of my eye. Was this the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu equivalent of the chivalrous man helping the love interest with her pool shot or her golf swing?
“Left side over right,” he said.
“Huh?”
“Your jacket, left side over the right side, nice and tight.”
“Oh, right.”
My jacket hung loose without the belt to hold it closed and I pulled the right side over my torso before pulling the left side over the top of it.  Nick lifted the belt over my head from behind and brought it down to waist-level.
“OK, watch. You pull both sides around the back and then to the front again, the belt goes around twice, see?”
“Yeah.”
Nick was close behind me and I leaned back an inch or so, feeling the rear of my shoulders touch his chest as he bent down to tie my belt.  My eyes were on my belt, but my mind was on him."

Featured Review
Emma South can write a story!!! She is a must read!!!
Harper and Nick meet by "accident". He becomes her hero, she becomes his. Harper is an up and coming actress, her mom is her manager and her brother stands in as a bodyguard. One day as the are walking to their car, she is attacked by a stalker/obsessed fan. Before being attacked her focus was on the man standing on the corner with scars and tattoos, but he is the one who jumps in to save her. After visiting him at the hospital she sees the good in Nick her hero, ex-marine/bodyguard and Nick realizes she is a real caring person not some fake/standoff actress. Harper feels so comfortable with Nick that she wants to spend more time with him and comes up with a plan for him to teach her jiu jitsu for her next role. They both have pasts they are trying to deal with. As this friendship grows so does their trust with one another. They soon are opening up and sharing their pasts, secrets and fears.
This story is about growing, trusting and finding the one who makes your life worth it. You will not be able to put this book down as there is so more to it!

Description
"I knew the angel that just walked in the door was the one for me."
Beatrice Holt seems to have it all. She's got a passionate and loving marriage to the perfect man, billionaire Jeremy Holt, and all the opportunities and financial security that comes with it. However, life wasn't always so wonderful. When a tragic accident results in amnesia, she is effectively transported back to a time when all her emotional wounds are still causing her intense pain. She can't remember how those wounds were healed the first time around, she can't remember her marriage, she can't remember the man behind the money at all. All she sees in Jeremy is the very kind of man she swore she would never fall for.
Can Jeremy find a way to make her fall in love with him all over again and make lightning strike twice? Can he help Beatrice remember their song or has their one chance for happiness slipped through their fingers?

Excerpt
...I felt his hands begin to pull away and I quickly raised my own to cover his, keeping them firmly planted on my cheeks as I raised myself up on to the tips of my toes and kissed him. Jeremy hardly moved for a moment, as if he’d forgotten how to kiss, but then returned it with growing confidence until we had to break it off to catch our breath.
We stared at each other, my heart beating so hard I thought for sure he would hear it. All the protests inside my mind were washed away by the more immediate desires of my body, the usually strongly asserted points washed away by the events of the day, a perfect day as Jeremy had said.
Jeremy leaned down again, one hand leaving my face to slide down my back and pull me against him, the other moving to the back of my head and his fingers running through my hair. I felt him against the entire length of my body, held tight like he was never going to let go, his heat driving away any lingering chills the cold air had caused...

Review
When a tragic accident leaves Bea with amnesia, her billionaire husband Jeremy sets out to remind her why she loves him. I read a lot of romance novels and am always pleasantly surprised when an author delivers something unexpected. With Remember Our Song, Emma South scores a big win for originality - I never knew what was going to happen next! A heart-tugging 5-star romance.
